Many may have been surprised yesterday by a Facebook status from journalist Klodiana Lala, known as Mrs. Pretenca. While tenders worth millions of euros are being issued in Albania every week, public properties are being allocated and files are being silently closed, Mrs. Pretenca demanded an account from the head of the GJKKO, Erion Bani, for the tender to equip journalists with cards to enter courtrooms, most likely an expense classified as small purchases.
According to sources, Ms. Pretenca’s ‘concern’ about the tender for journalists’ cards does not reflect public interest, but rather female anger, personal resentment, trivialities and petty revenge. Accustomed to entering SPAK and GJKKO as well as the offices of Fane’s television, Ms. Pretenca is learned to have become a concern for several GJKKO judges, as during court proceedings, she violates the rules by chatting sometimes with defendants, sometimes with colleagues and sometimes with lawyers.
In one of the hearings of Ilir Meta’s trial, according to sources, Ms. Pretenca started talking to Monika Kryemadhi, as if they were having coffee and looking at the cup. After her attention was drawn several times, it is learned that the head of the GJKKO, Erion Bani, took action and ordered Ms. Pretenca to leave the courtroom. After being declared ‘non grata’, Ms. Pretenca responded to Mr. Bani, demanding an account of the tender for journalists’ cards.
