Speaking about the 50 thousand lek that pensioners received as a bonus for the first time this year, Edi Rama also touched on the tensions of the protest, for which he said that while following the protesters closely, he is able to distinguish two types of layers. According to the Prime Minister, on one side are the people who have come out to protest their troubles, and on the other side are some individuals who create tense situations that have degraded to the point of physical violence,
whether towards the Police or the Police Station. “The memory is that last year they said that the spring bonus for pensioners, which had the same logic, namely the growth of the economy and the principle that, at the moment when the economy grows and we manage to fulfill what we have foreseen and we have something left, what is left should be shared with those who need it most and pensioners are first and foremost. They did it for the campaign”, they said.
