Young British man joins protest in Tirana: Rama said we are afraid to come? Here I am from England

On the 28th day of the national resistance, the first speeches by activists and revolted citizens have begun in front of the prime minister’s office.

Among the many voices that have climbed the steps of the improvised tribune, everyone’s attention has been drawn to a young British man, who has taken the floor, expressing his full support for the protesters’ cause.

The British citizen has traveled specifically from the United Kingdom to be present at this grand gathering, openly challenging the head of the executive’s recent statements.

During his speech to thousands of citizens gathered on Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard, the young Englishman directly attacked the government’s narrative, which claimed that the protests are damaging the country’s image and driving away foreign visitors.

“Edi Rama said that tourists are afraid to come because there are protests here. I came from the United Kingdom to say here that they are rubbish!”, declared the young British man, receiving huge cheers from the crowd.

He then focused on Albania’s natural resources, calling for the country to be protected from the alienation of property and corrupt projects.

He chose to end his speech with clear calls in Albanian, demanding the immediate removal of the prime minister from his office.

“This country is too beautiful to sell! Edi Rama resigns! New Albania!” were his closing words that ignited the atmosphere in front of the prime minister’s office.
