The Fier Police Directorate officially stated that the RENEA negotiation team, in cooperation with the services of the Fier Local Police Directorate, under the direction of the Prosecutor, continued negotiations with the 35-year-old, with the aim of convincing him to surrender and avoid further escalation of the situation.
“Despite intense negotiations, conducted since the early hours of the morning, the 35-year-old did not obey the police’s calls to surrender and, at around 16:35, it is suspected that he committed suicide with the hunting rifle he was carrying, inside the vehicle.”
Previously, Refit Buzi is accused of killing his ex-girlfriend’s father, 58-year-old Kosta Plaka, with a shotgun in the village of Vidhisht, Roskovec, and seriously wounding her mother, 55-year-old Belere Plaka. After the crime, he did not stop there, but kidnapped and held his ex-girlfriend, Rozalinda Plaka, hostage, raping her as well.
A few hours later he agreed to release her and she was taken to the hospital.
The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor, continues its actions to fully document the circumstances and causes of this serious criminal event.
