The KLP has made public the names of the five official candidates in the race for Prosecutor General, after the application deadline has ended.
According to the list submitted at the end of the application procedure, the candidates aiming to head the General Prosecutor’s Office are:
Adnan Xholi, Arta Marku, Fatjona Memçaj, Rovena Zoto and Ylli Pjeternikaj.
After the application phase closes, candidates will undergo a verification and evaluation process, according to the criteria set for this high-ranking position in the justice system.
The Head of the General Prosecutor’s Office is elected for a specified term and is responsible for directing and coordinating the work of the prosecution offices in the country.
The selection process is expected to continue with the other phases foreseen in the procedure.
