Journalist Ermal Peçi, invited to a television studio, commented on the protest taking place against Prime Minister Edi Rama.
During the interview, the case of Ermal Beqiri, another scandal in the country, was also discussed, after he was arrested in France and a castle was discovered, as well as planes and other assets.
Journalist Peçi said that as long as Albanians are faced with such scandals, the protests will not stop.
“The protest is giving signs that it will not stop and that it will continue. This is understandable because every day that passes we have a scandal. And the most recent scandal was how a man like Ermal Beqiri who was arrested in France, a man with access to AKSHI tenders, had become a millionaire and lived a life of luxury and that we do not even conceive. And the citizens with all their rights will be in protest.
SPAK has entered the heart of the Prime Minister’s Office and all roads lead to Rama. So the fact that Mr. Beqiri has been arrested must be extradited and we must understand what happened to the AKSHI files. So as citizens we want to understand what has been done with our taxes”, he said, adding: “From what I understand, the protest will continue. There are protesters, the protest has coherence, sustainability”.
