Father went to son’s apartment in Pristina – broke down the door and threatened the family

A family conflict in Pristina has turned into a criminal case, after a man allegedly went to his son’s apartment with an axe, where he damaged the front door and caused fear among family members, including the children who were inside.

Sources from Sinjali report that the suspect is BJ, around 55 years old, while the victim is his son, PJ, around 32 years old.

According to information provided, the incident occurred in the early morning hours of July 14, around 00:30, on “Hajdar Dushi” street in Pristina.

The victim told investigators that his father, with whom he has not lived for a long time, had gone to the apartment and attempted to force his way into the building.

During the investigation, the Police have obtained footage from security cameras, which, according to sources, show the suspect attempting to enter the apartment and hitting the front door with an axe. As a result of the blows, the glass of the door was broken and material damage was caused.

The victim’s mother was interviewed as a witness and stated that before damaging the door, the suspect had asked his son to come outside. According to her statement, his behavior caused panic and concern among the family, especially the children who were in the apartment at the time of the incident.

After collecting material evidence, statements from the parties, and analyzing security camera footage, investigators consulted the case with the State Prosecutor.

On August 1, the case was reclassified and criminal proceedings were initiated against the suspect for the offenses of “Destruction or damage to property” and “Threat”.

Authorities are continuing investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident and to take further legal action in accordance with the results of the investigation.

Note: The person mentioned in this case is considered innocent until his eventual guilt is proven by a final court decision.
