Murder convict extradited from Albania to Kosovo

A 50-year-old Kosovar man, sentenced to 11 years and 6 months in prison for murder, has been extradited from Albania to Kosovo.

Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with its Kosovar counterparts, has completed the procedures for the extradition of Anton Allakaj, who was declared internationally wanted.

According to the Police, the Peja Court sentenced Allakaj in 2021 to 11 years and 6 months in prison for the criminal offense of “Murder”.

From the sentence given, the 50-year-old had 9 years and 8 months of imprisonment left to serve.

After the completion of legal proceedings, Allakaj was handed over to Kosovo authorities, where he will serve the remainder of his sentence.
