Lieutenant Colonel Xhevahir Abdija was accompanied today to his final resting place, leaving behind a deep pain for his family, colleagues and friends. He passed away prematurely, at the age of 63, and will be laid to rest forever in the Tufina cemetery.
For those who knew him, Xhevahir Abdija was not only a respected soldier, but also a beloved man, with many friendships and a special nature that made him unforgettable in every society. Colleagues and friends will remember him with respect for the character, humor and warmth he conveyed in every meeting.
“You have broken our hearts, brother. The pain cannot be described in words. What can I say before, my dear? Acquainted with many friends, the delight of tables and conversations. I cannot accept your departure… so soon. We will forever miss your love and humor, our wise and kind one. You will always be with us, as long as we live, eternal and unforgettable in our hearts,” wrote the lieutenant colonel’s sister, giving the sad news of her brother’s loss.
