A serious incident has shaken Skopje, where the director of Alsat television, Lirim Hajredini, was found dead on Krste Misirkov Boulevard.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia, it is a 38-year-old man with the initials LH, who died as a result of his injuries.

“Around 09:25, the Public Safety Service – Skopje received a report that an injured person was in front of a building on ‘Krste Misirkov’ Boulevard in Skopje. Police officers from the Bit Pazar police station went to the scene and determined that the person was LH (38) from Skopje, who had died from his injuries. The death was confirmed by an ambulance doctor,” the police statement said.

The public prosecutor has been notified of the incident, while authorities have begun examining the scene to clarify the circumstances

Media in North Macedonia report that the person found dead is Lirim Hajredini, the head of Alsat television. His leadership role at the television station is also documented in previous materials from media organizations. Up to now, authorities have not provided an official version of the manner and circumstances that led to Hajredini’s death.
