An unexpected phone call between Prime Minister Edi Rama and journalist Almer Toska reportedly ended in a tense clash, following the publication of material related to billionaire and philanthropist Alex Soros and a meeting he had with the head of the Albanian government.
According to the data made public, Rama called journalist Almer Toska and demanded an account regarding the information he published. At the center of the debate is learned that there was a private conversation between Rama and Alex Soros, about which the journalist had raised questions in his material.
“How do you know what I discussed privately with Alex Soros?” Rama is said to have asked the journalist, opposing the publication of the data and accusing him of feeding the public with rumors.
On the other hand, journalist Almer Toska is reported to have responded that his information comes from sources and that he has his own sources.
The conversation between them, according to information made public, was tense and continued with an exchange of remarks between the prime minister and the journalist.
The call comes after the publication of a material where Toska raises questions about Edi Rama’s meeting with Alex Soros and issues related to the Vlora area, including Vjallina and Zvërnec.
In a post published on social networks, the journalist accompanied the material with the warning “Summer bomb”, while in another material the question is raised: “What did Alex Soros ask Edi Rama for Vjallina and Zvërnec?”
