Prime Minister Albin Kurti has reacted after a fire broke out at a hotel in Vlora, injuring four Kosovo Albanians.
In a Facebook status, Kurti wished a speedy recovery to all injured citizens, while announcing that the authorities are in communication with Albanian institutions.
“Today, in the early hours of the morning, a fire engulfed a hotel in Vlora, injuring four citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, three of whom are receiving hospital treatment in Tirana and one in Vlora. We are shocked by the news and are closely monitoring the situation of our citizens, being in constant communication with the relevant authorities in Albania. I wish the injured a speedy and full recovery,” the prime minister wrote.
Six vacationers were injured in a fire that engulfed a hotel in the Lungomare area. Five of the injured were transported to Tirana for treatment, while one girl is in serious condition, with burns to most of her body.
Some of the holidaymakers were forced to jump from balconies to escape the flames and smoke.
