The body of a woman found floating in the Isthmus of Corinth has been identified. According to Greek media, she is a 49-year-old woman of Albanian origin.
The competent authorities are investigating the circumstances in which the incident occurred.
Authorities were notified of the body of a woman found floating in the Corinth Canal shortly after 8 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15.
According to an official statement – the body was recovered from a private boat with Coast Guard officers on board.
The woman was then picked up by an EKAB ambulance and transported to Corinth General Hospital.
According to information, the woman’s body was identified by a relative. As it turned out, she is a 49-year-old woman with Greek citizenship and origin from Albania.
