The Tirana court has remanded 25-year-old Vehap Tota in prison. 4 days ago, on August 21, 2026, he hit a police officer in the shoulder with a brick, causing her to fall unconscious in the young man’s yard.

It is reported that the police had gone to Vehap Tota’s apartment to escort his cohabitant, citizen Audeta Tahiri, as the latter was suspected by the criminal police of being the author of the burning of the car of citizen L. Hoti, who is a neighbor of the arrested Vehap Tota.
After receiving the notification, at 18:00, two police patrol officers from the MD and AP were ordered to go to “Paqësori” street in Frutikulturë Kamëz, to arrest citizen Audeta Tahiri, who was suspected of being involved in the burning of a car.
The young man told the officers that “…she is not the girl you are looking for…”, while after searching the apartment, Pasi was found inside the house and in this situation the police stopped him to accompany him to the police station as a suspect in the burning of L. Hoti’s car, an event that occurred in Kamëz on August 18, 2026.
However, this caused the young man to confront the police officers, even though he had admitted at the police station that Audeta Tahiri had burned his neighbor’s vehicle. Tota threw stones and bricks at the police officers, one of the bricks hitting the police officer MD in the back, knocking her to the ground and rendering her unconscious.
The officer was urgently taken by ambulance to the Trauma Hospital, while Tahiri and Tota were arrested by the police.
