The truth is revealed / This is the reason why we lose weight more often during the summer and not in other seasons

Studies show why we lose weight faster during the summer months than during other seasons.

It seems that way, the sun helps us lose weight: light in the blue wavelength, very intense light during the day, penetrating the skin reaches the superficial fat cells and makes them “melt”.

The lipid droplets actually become smaller and are more easily excreted through the cell membrane. In winter, the low presence of light would favor the opposite effect and therefore the accumulation of fat.

According to the author of this study, Peter Light, a researcher at the Diabetes Institute of Canada, fat cells would work as a kind of biological clock, which tells the body how much fat to burn according to the season.

Unlike mammals, humans have fat almost everywhere on the body, under the skin: in the course of evolution it may have served as an external light sensor, useful for accumulating weight and energy in winter, when it was more difficult to find food and use these reserves in summer, losing weight.

Beware of sunburn. But, in addition to the explanation given by experts, you should be careful of the sun, do not expose yourself for long hours as this damages your health and puts you at risk of sunburn.

You should not stay in the sun with the idea that the longer you stay, the more kilos you will lose, because it is still not clear whether it is the intensity or duration of the light that activates the mechanism of “melting” fat.
