The Transmission System Operator has announced planned interruptions in the electricity supply in several areas of Elbasan and its surroundings, due to the works being carried out for the 400 kV Fier–Elbasan–Qafë Thanë Line project.
According to the OST announcement, to ensure safety during the works, the 6 kV Fidri F6 Line will be temporarily disconnected at the “Kombinati i Drurit” Substation.
The outages will take place on September 3, 4, 5 and 8, 2026, between 06:30 and 16:00.
During this period, the following will be temporarily without electricity:

business
Brick Factory
Hajdaran Pumps
Shushica
Bull Field
Tahiraj
OST calls on families and businesses in these areas to take the necessary measures and plan their activities taking into account the outage schedules.

The Transmission System Operator has notified consumers in Elbasan of a temporary interruption of electricity supply, which will affect several areas of the city and its surroundings.

According to the announcement published on the official website of the OST, the interruptions will be carried out as part of the works underway for the 400 kV Fier–Elbasan–Qafë Thanë Line, an important project for the electricity transmission infrastructure.
The OST explains that, to guarantee safety during the works, the measure of temporary disconnection of the 6 kV Fidri F6 Line at the “Kombinati i Drurit” Substation will be taken.
According to official information, power outages will be scheduled on these dates:
-September 3, 2026
-September 4, 2026
-September 5, 2026
-September 8, 2026
On all these dates, the outage will apply to the 06:30–16:00 time slot.
This means that customers in the affected areas should take precautions for an extended outage during the morning and early afternoon hours.
According to the OST, as a result of the line being disconnected, several areas of the Elbasan district will be temporarily left without electricity supply.

Works part of the 400 kV Line project
The intervention is related to the works for the 400 kV Fier–Elbasan–Qafë Thanë Line, one of the important infrastructure projects in the Albanian energy system.
Due to the nature of the works and the need to guarantee safe conditions for the teams operating in the field, the disconnection of the relevant medium voltage line at the “Kombinati i Drurit” Substation is foreseen.
The OST emphasizes that the interruption is a security measure in order to carry out the works, requesting the understanding of customers who will be affected by this temporary supply restriction.

Consumers in Elbasan, especially those in the “Skënderbej” neighborhood, Shushicë, Fushë Bull, Tahiraj, Hajdaran and surrounding areas, should take into account the dates 3–5 and 8 September and the hours 06:30–16:00, to avoid problems that may be caused by electricity outages.
