Italian police have arrested a 39-year-old Albanian citizen, suspected of drug trafficking, after 41 kilograms of hashish and marijuana were discovered in the van he was driving.
The police stopped the van and during a search of the luggage discovered a large compressor, imported from abroad. Inside the device was hidden narcotics, which were later seized.
The driver of the van, a 39-year-old Albanian, was arrested and sent to Madonna del Freddo prison, on charges of distributing narcotics
Another Albanian citizen, 38 years old, was also in the vehicle, sitting in the passenger seat. He was released by order of the prosecutor. Investigations into the case continue.
