The Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution Office (SPAK) has seized new assets in the Palasa area, as part of the investigations into the “Balluku” file, reports journalist Klodiana Lala.
The seized assets are located in the Palasa area, while SPAK investigations continue to document the links between the assets and the persons involved in the proceedings.
Former Deputy Prime Minister and former Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, is under investigation for corruption and money laundering.
We recall that SPAK has taken Belinda Balluku into custody for suspicions regarding public procurement procedures. The investigation includes several tenders conducted during the time she held management positions.
The main charge for which Balluku has been found guilty is related to the criminal offense of “Violation of equality of participants in public tenders or auctions.”
SPAK’s investigation initially focused on the tender for the construction of the Llogara Tunnel, one of the largest infrastructure projects in recent years.
Another procedure included in the investigation is the Tirana Ring Road.
