A conflict that initially started between a waiter and two brothers, Elidon and Florjan Gjeloshi, risked ending in tragedy on the afternoon of September 6, 2026 in the village of Gomsiqe e Re in Velipoja, an event that was also documented by shocking security camera footage.
According to the investigation and the testimony of the owner of the “Arval” bar, Valter Përndrecaj, the initial fight had only taken place an hour before the situation finally degenerated. After the conflict, the waiter had notified people close to him, and very soon a “BMW X5” vehicle with English license plates appeared in the center of the village, from which three people got out.
The footage clearly shows the moment when two of them enter the premises of the bar armed – one identified as Klevin Nikolli with an AK-47 rifle in his hand, and the other known only as Gentjan, armed with a pistol. Their presence immediately caused great panic among the customers, who quickly left to escape a possible gunfight.
The owner of the bar, Valter Përndrecaj, has recounted the moments of extreme tension, where he shows that he approached the perpetrator Klevin Nikolli and physically fought with him to remove the weapon from his hand. During this fight, he managed to remove the magazine from the automatic rifle, but the situation worsened further when Nikolli took out a second weapon, a pistol, from his belt, pointing it towards the brothers Elidon and Florjan Gjeloshi, who were customers in the bar.
After the perpetrators left and the authorities were notified, the Velipoja police arrived at the scene to begin the first investigative actions. The full procedural material has been referred to the Shkodra Prosecutor’s Office, where the suspects will face criminal charges for “Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition” and “Threat with a weapon”.
