Prime Minister Edi Rama has spoken about the protests and the moment when he declared that he had even considered resigning.
During the interview with journalist Rudina Xhunga, as part of his podcast “Flasim”, Rama said that the reactions and dissatisfaction of citizens have pushed him to analyze the changes that have occurred in Albanian society and the increase in expectations towards governance.
“The resignation, perhaps the moment has come to explain it,” said Rama, citing as an example the case of a mayor who, despite investments made for a community, was faced with the dissatisfaction of residents.
According to Rama, this should not necessarily be seen as ingratitude, but as a consequence of changing citizens’ expectations.
