Images of the hotel in Santorini that served as inspiration for the design of the villa in Palasë have been released, which according to SPAK’s investigations is linked to former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.
This is about the Rocabella Santorini hotel, which is mentioned in an email dated September 14, 2020, sent by architect Alban Eftimi to Balluk’s address.
In emails published in the media, Eftimi explains the villa project to Balluk in detail, talking about the pool, the suites and the spaces around it. He writes that the idea was that, even if the villa were to be rented out one day, users would feel “spoiled just like in a hotel.”
According to Eftimi’s description, a dining table was planned in one part of the pool at the same level as the water, in order to enjoy the view of the “infinity pool” as much as possible. The teak around the pool was supposed to give the property “a slightly warmer, slightly yacht-like feeling.”
On both sides of the villa, near the entrances and suites, two hot tubs were also planned. For this part, the architect refers to the Rocabella hotel in Santorini, taking it as a model for the design of the villa in Palasa.
