The well-known composer, Olti Shulla, has revealed today details from his collaboration with the late singer George Mazonakis.
Invited to ‘Breaking with Fiori Dardha’, Shulla showed that Mazonakis was a slightly capricious artist, but he always took care of and maintained his appearance.
“He was a guy who was very well-groomed, very well-maintained. You could see that he was one of the best artists and dressed better than the others. They called me about him and told me that we had brought Mazonaki to Albania and we decided to talk to him about you. He said yes, bring me Oltin. I’ll go and fix it and then I thought I was going to leave, but he told the organizers that I would sing, come back and fix it again.
“In fact, from what I understood, he was capricious. Artists have this thing and normally demand more. He tells his sister or niece that he liked my energy and my makeup. We talked a little, decided what we could do. He also invited me to Greece for other collaborations,” said Shulla.
Shulla, as one of Mazonakis’ last makeup artists before he passed away, has shown that he was also very religious, even praying before going on stage to perform.
“What struck me most was that he was very religious. At one point he took us all out of the room and told me I had 5 minutes to work, there was a cross on the table, he would pray before entering the concert,” he concluded. /Top Channel/
