The person you see in the photo is 58-year-old Lumturie Patushi, who was stabbed to death by her 68-year-old husband Hysni Patushi, while she was at her daughter’s apartment to take care of her grandchildren.
At the time of the serious crime, the couple’s two minor grandchildren, aged 10 and 14, were in the apartment and witnessed the entire scheme. Their father, the victim’s son-in-law, was also present.
After the crime, the perpetrator fled, throwing the knife under the building, a weapon that was found by the police.
The elderly man’s escape was short-lived, as Tirana police arrested him near Kamza. It is suspected that the 68-year-old was intoxicated at the time of the crime.
The couple had been having problems for a long time. The perpetrator was arrested in 2017 for domestic violence. Meanwhile, the police are working to fully clarify the incident and the motive that led the 68-year-old to murder his wife.
