A serious incident has occurred in the forests of Rasora, in the Bologna area of Italy, where a 35-year-old Albanian man has lost his life in a tragic accident. The victim has been identified as Shkëlzen Pali, who had been living and working in Italy for several years.
At the time of the accident, the 35-year-old was in the forest with a colleague, while the two were engaged in cutting and transporting trees. A mobile cable car was used to transport the logs.
According to preliminary information, the accident occurred during the activation of the cable mechanism. It is suspected that the cable was formed in a loop on the ground and the 35-year-old, without realizing the danger, had put his feet inside it. At the moment the cable car was put into operation, the cable was pulled with force, severely hitting the Albanian.
He was rushed to the hospital, where he received medical attention, but despite the doctors’ efforts, the 35-year-old could not survive his injuries.
The full circumstances of the accident are still unknown, while Italian authorities are working to fully clarify the tragic event.
