Three people have been arrested in Lezha, suspected of planning to commit a murder. Two of them were traveling armed and wearing diving suits on a motorbike stolen in Sweden, on the old “Pllanë-Lezha” road, while the third person was allegedly helping them leave the area after committing the crime.
As part of the operation codenamed “Details”, the Police arrested Elden Tarja, 25 years old, resident of Barbullush, Kristian Ymeri (Shkambi), 34 years old, resident of Kamzë, and Vincesk Piroli, 38 years old, resident of Kurbin.
The operation was carried out by specialists from the Serious Crimes Investigation Sector at the Lezha Police Department, in cooperation with the Shkodra Police, after receiving information about suspicious movements of two people wearing diving suits on the old “Pllanë-Lezha” road.
After checks and patrols in the area, the Police services stopped a “Volkswagen” type vehicle on the “Gjadër-Barbullush” road segment, where the three suspects were traveling.
During the searches, three pistols with magazines and cartridges, combat ammunition, the motorcycle used in this case and the “Volkswagen” type vehicle were found and seized in the vehicle, the motorcycle and the apartment of the 25-year-old, as well as in the surrounding areas.
Verifications revealed that the motorcycle was stolen in Sweden. According to the Police, the 38-year-old has numerous criminal records for crimes against the person, both domestically and abroad.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
