Albanian Americans who bought sneakers, clothing or accessories through GOAT may want to check whether a refund is arriving. The Federal Trade Commission announced on October 6, 2026, that it is distributing more than $100,000 to 6,205 customers following a settlement involving the online marketplace’s shipping and refund practices. The current payments are intended for eligible customers who paid for expedited shipping between 2020 and 2024 and did not receive a previous refund from GOAT. The company had already returned more than $736,000 to affected customers in 2025 as part of the settlement. This new distribution reaches customers who remained unpaid. Federal Trade Commission
In its lawsuit, the FTC alleged that some priority orders were not shipped as quickly as promised. Customers also were not offered the required choice between accepting a shipping delay and cancelling their purchase for a prompt refund. The agency additionally challenged how GOAT handled its advertised buyer protection for products that were incorrect, inauthentic or otherwise different from their descriptions. For shoppers who paid extra because they needed an order quickly, the announcement offers a practical reason to watch their mail and PayPal notifications. Eligibility depends on the affected purchases; buying something from GOAT alone does not establish that a customer qualifies.
Payments are being delivered by mailed check or PayPal. Checks should be cashed within 90 days, while PayPal payments must be accepted within 30 days. Customers with questions can contact JND Legal Administration, the refund administrator, at 1-888-970-2410.
