Socialist MP Erion Braçe criticized Prime Minister Edi Rama, accusing him of having difficulty sharing power and taking responsibility for mistakes made during his government. In his reaction, Braçe emphasizes that Rama should accept mistakes as personal responsibility and not blame them only on the ministers or leaders he has had close to him.
Braçe says that the prime minister has used his power to bring about positive changes, but has also abused it by appointing people who, in his opinion, were not worthy of their duties. He demands that power not be treated as personal property, but be divided in accordance with the Constitution, respecting the independence and functioning of institutions.
“Edi Rama finds it easy to announce my path or, as some around him say, what awaits me. But I think he finds it difficult to relinquish power.”
He is in love with power, the strength and authority that it gives; he has often used it for good, doing good and bringing great changes to this country; he has delegated it for good, as he has repeatedly wasted it on unworthy ministers and directors; he has made mistakes – some serious, which he must accept nominally as his own, not simply as those of all those who have not been worthy alongside him, on his path. To take and hold responsible.
“To give a sign that he does not have power personally, does not exercise it as his own, but shares it as the constitution has determined, with other legitimate and sovereign, independent powers that must be functional, until the end, intact or half as the disciplinary will of the majority faded into notices, even as a map,” says Braçe.
The MP’s reaction comes after his vote in favor of the new Territorial Map, which he explained was not a personal support for Rama, but a choice to continue working as an MP and to seek a genuine reform of local government.
Brace claims that his decision has disrupted an internal political plan, which he describes as “vile”, while opposing the use of party discipline to limit the positions of MPs.
“I don’t know if you’ve ever seen anyone else being attacked and standing, being lynched and standing in front of them, going to where they live and where they work – doing their job, and listening and responding, at great personal and family cost; have you seen that? So I decided to stay and do my job.”
“I know that I have ruined a plan that politics has its own, internal, vile, permanent, but I can’t do without it, so for Nesti the counter and the other counters I am 85, 84 was there for the plan,” said Braçe, among other things.
