Prime Minister Edi Rama, accompanied by Interior Minister Ervin Demo, made a press statement shortly before the protests announced for today began.
“The protests, the goals, the reasons, and above all the needs of that part of society that needs a more aggressive government approach to the rising cost of living, are the absolute focus of the government and it would be even better if we had a dialogue that addresses these needs.”
In a matter of hours and days, we will present a reflection on what this part of society is telling us, where it sees the need and the way to make this government even more attentive.
All those who exercise violence must understand that as intense and focused or prolonged as the urban terror on businesses was, so will what comes from the state be prolonged and persistent.
“Whoever thinks they are bringing the state to its knees is making the wrong calculation, whoever thinks they are masquerading behind the student and doing the work of those who want a religiously divided Albania should be clear that not only will they not succeed, but they will pay in a number of ways,” said the head of government.
