One of the most serious episodes of this criminal group is the loss of a large amount of money in one of the prestigious, second-tier banks that operate in Tirana.
A significant loss of money for which the two Pepa brothers accuse a notary, who according to them has collaborated in the disappearance of their amount of 4 million euros. Prapaskena learns that the notary who ‘scored’ 4 million euros for Mir Pepa, known as the Casanova of Cocaine, is Rezarta Koçi, one of the most famous fraudsters of recent decades.
Notary Rezarta Koçi was arrested on February 4, 2022 for fraud with serious consequences, theft and abuse of office. According to the file, Koçi had defrauded several businessmen, extorting millions of euros, while many others are believed to have not filed a complaint. Notary Koçi was sentenced by the Court of Appeal to 12 years in prison, but due to the reduction of the sentence, she will ultimately serve eight years in prison.
Mir Pepa also seems to have fallen into the web of fraud of notary Rezarta Koçi, who also did not file a criminal report, apparently because the missing money originated from the criminal activity of cocaine trafficking. Meanwhile, in November 2021, notary Rezarta Koçi’s car was blown up with TNT. There are strong suspicions that the car was blown up by one of her fraud victims.
In August 2020, during a conversation that Jetmir Pepa had with his brother Urim Pepa, they made a plan to take the bank administrators hostage, while accusing notary R.ezarta Koçi of collaborating in the disappearance of an amount of 4 million euros.
‘Should we do it ourselves, or should we hire someone else?’ But how did they lose this money and what is the connection of the notary in question to the Pepa brothers? And why do the Pepa brothers accuse the notary of losing the money?
Everything seems to be clarified once again from their conversations on Sky Ecc, where it turns out that the Pepa brothers have transferred their money to the bank in question through the account of notary Rezarta Koçi. But here it seems that something unclear has happened and the money has surprisingly lost its destination. Meanwhile, the notary, unlike her primary function, has served as a cover for the dirty money that the Pepa brothers earned from international drug trafficking. Jetmir Pepa and his brother Aleksi accuse the notary of collaborating with the bank in the disappearance of the money. “I’m with Urim, she’s telling me how to organize ourselves to take hostages, or pay that I have people or we will take them hostage ourselves.”
