The new decision replaces the Youth Guarantee Implementation Plan 2023-2025 with a new three-year plan, which will cover the period 2026-2028.
The Youth Guarantee is one of the main instruments of employment policies, which aims to support young people in their integration into the labor market, education, vocational training or training programs, reducing the level of unemployment and inactivity in this age group.
The Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, said that young people, through the youth guarantee, will have the opportunity to be mediated into a job or to receive training.
“The Youth Guarantee is an instrument for young men and women who want to be employed, who if they do not have a skill will be trained, a job will be mediated for them or they will be trained,” said Minister Delina Ibrahimaj.
A number of central and local institutions have been tasked with implementing the new plan, including the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Finance, as well as the National Employment and Skills Agency, the National Youth Agency, INSTAT and local self-government units.
The authorities aim to strengthen measures for youth employment and skills development through the new plan, in line with the objectives of the National Employment and Skills Strategy 2023-2030.
