Students from Montenegro who have completed their studies in Albanian at Albanian universities will no longer pay the 3,500 euro fee for the process of recognition and conversion of diplomas.
The decision comes within the framework of a cooperation between the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Montenegro and relevant institutions, with the aim of facilitating administrative procedures and reducing costs for students and their families.
The measure particularly affects members of the Albanian minority in Montenegro, who pursue their studies in Albania and have so far faced costly and complicated procedures for the recognition of diplomas.
The removal of the fee is considered a step towards simplifying the process of unifying diplomas and increasing access to the labor market and further studies.
Since 1991, students from the Albanian community in Montenegro have benefited from free study quotas at Albanian universities, as part of support for education in the Albanian language and educational cooperation between the two countries.
According to the authorities, the facilitation of these procedures is expected to positively impact the academic and professional development of young people, as well as the strengthening of educational relations between Albania and Montenegro.
