Since the submission of the request to extradite Ermal Beqiri from France, the Ministry of Justice is still translating the material including the security measure decision announced in December 2025 and acts from the investigative file that will be attached to the letter of request.
Referring to very reliable sources close to the group of licensed French language translators, Top Channel journalist Anila Hoxha learns that the request to extradite Beqiri has not yet been completed, and therefore has not yet been forwarded to French justice. The file is voluminous and it will take several more days from the forwarded request that was officially announced after Beqiri’s arrest by SPAK itself.
On the other hand, SPAK will also launch a second request for legal assistance in France where it will request the seizure of a castle, two aircraft, two houses and vehicles suspected of belonging to Ermal Beqiri, wanted for the AKSHI file and suspected of “Illegal competition through violence”, “Illegal deprivation of liberty”, “Violation of equality of participants in tenders or public auctions” carried out in the special form of cooperation of the structured criminal group and “Structured criminal group”, “Commitment of criminal offenses by a criminal organization and a structured criminal group”, as well as “Laundering of the products of a criminal offense or activity”.
The verifications show that the police have declared Beqiri wanted with a red card within the law and deadlines, i.e. 1 day after, on 24.12.2025, the Special Prosecution Office requested the General Directorate of the State Police, the National Central Office, Interpol Tirana, to declare these citizens, against whom the security measure “arrest in prison” had been assigned, internationally wanted, provided for by article 238 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
The international wanted notice is also reflected in the Interpol Tirana database with a “red notice”. SPAK also announced that from the investigations by the French authorities, several assets of criminal origin located in France were identified, in particular bank accounts with a total value of over two million euros, two apartments, the purchase of a castle in the Oise department (60) for around 2.6 million euros, and motor vehicles were identified./ Top Channel
