A German citizen has lost her life in Palasa, where she was on vacation.
The 33-year-old tourist, according to police, lost her life as a result of a heart attack. Police statement:
Based on a news item published in the media regarding the loss of life of a foreign citizen in Palasa, we would like to clarify to the public that:
At around 11:45, on 30.07.2026, the Dhërmi Police Station was notified by the Palasa Health Center that German citizen MS, 33 years old, had been taken to its premises, who had shown health problems and, despite immediate medical assistance, lost her life. Based on the actions taken beforehand, it is suspected that this is a natural death, as the German citizen is suspected of having lost her life as a result of cardiac arrest.
Immediately after receiving the notification, the Police services carried out all procedural actions at the scene, in cooperation with the investigative group and under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office.
After the completion of the initial investigative actions, the procedural materials were referred to the competent Prosecutor’s Office for further actions.
In relation to this case, the Police carried out all actions in accordance with standard work procedures and applicable legislation.
