The US has extradited to Albania, via Charter Flight, Sokol Hoxha, the triple murderer who was on the run for 30 years.

Hoxha’s surrender comes at a time when the British are also conducting investigations into the much-wanted man, who has revoked his British passport, which they had issued to him around 2000, under the identity of Hysen Gashi, an identity with which he later entered America. Also, after the arrest of the wanted man in the US, Albanian justice authorities have begun communicating with the authorities in Belgium, where Hoxha has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Brunilda Dervishi, to transfer his other conviction case to Albania.
