The testimony in Court of 31-year-old Kejdi Banaj, who was arrested two weeks ago after being caught with four “Glock” type pistols in his vehicle, while traveling in the Skërfica tunnel towards Saranda, has been revealed.

During the hearing for determining the security measure, 31-year-old Banaj also stated that he has been a drug user for years and that at the time of the incident he was not in a sober state to understand the circumstances.

According to his testimony, he had known ES for about 20 years, but had not met him for four years. Banaj said that the young man had contacted him unexpectedly and had proposed that they travel to Saranda to spend a few days of vacation. He denied having any knowledge of the weapons found in the vehicle, stating that the black bag containing them had been placed in his car by an acquaintance, the 26-year-old with the initials ES.

Banaj’s full testimony: I have been a drug user for years and I have no idea how the incident happened. They took me to my house and I had no idea. I was not aware of how the incident happened in this case, I continue to be confused. I have told the whole truth.
