A check initiated due to loud music in a bar in the Ujit i Ftohtë area in Vlora has turned into an unusual situation for the Police officers. The incident occurred at around 23:20 on August 1, when the police were notified that two subjects in the “Ujit i Ftohtë” area were generating loud music, disturbing the residents.
According to sources for “Ora News”, the officers showed up to conduct the relevant verifications. During the inspection of one of the entities in the “Plazhit të Ri” area, they were contacted by a person who introduced himself as the manager of the premises.
But the situation took a different turn when the manager asked the officers to communicate with another person through his phone. The WhatsApp application was open on the cell phone held out to the police officers and a video call was being made on the screen with Inez Hajrulla, one of the most wanted persons by the Special Structure.
According to sources, Hajrulla addressed the officers by phone and asked them to leave, not continuing the searches in the subject. But a few moments later, the search would take a different turn. At the moment when the person who had communicated with the police placed the cell phone in the “marsup” type bag, the officers determined the presence of a firearm.
The police intervened immediately and searched the bag. During the search, a revolver firearm, a quantity of suspected cocaine, another quantity of suspected Cannabis Sativa, sums of money in various currencies, a mobile phone and a Volkswagen car key were found and seized.
The person was neutralized and escorted to the premises of the Vlora Police Station. From further verifications, he was identified with the initials EO, a resident of Vlora.
Sources inform “Ora News” that the checks have also continued in the Volkswagen Golf vehicle, owned by him. Inside the vehicle, a quantity of plant material, suspected to be a narcotic substance of the Cannabis Sativa type, wrapped in aluminum foil, was found and seized.
Who is Inez Hajrulla?
Known in Vlora by the nickname “Sakati”, Inez Hajrulla is one of the names mentioned for years in the dark chronicle of the coastal city. He has survived several assassination attempts, while in one of the most serious attacks against him he was left crippled.
In 2017, Hajrulla was the target of an explosive device attack. The explosion caused serious injuries and he lost both legs. His name has been mentioned over the years in various investigations by the authorities into criminal events in Vlora.
Two years later, in May 2019, he faced another assassination attempt in the “Ujit të Ftohtë” area, where the bar he was in was shot at. Hajrulla managed to survive the attack, while another person who happened to be in the same area was injured.
Another serious episode is related to August 2023, when the Vlora Police arrested Amarildo Nikolli, who was caught with firearms and other items. According to information made public later, Hajrulla and Ervis Matodashaj were suspected of being the targets of an assassination attempt that was being prepared against them.
Hajrulla has also been mentioned in other investigations by Albanian authorities. In 2018, he was sentenced to probation for the criminal offenses of “disobeying the order of a public order police officer” and “unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition.”
