Scary figures/ Ministry of Defense takes stock of fires in the last 12 hours

The Ministry of Defense has taken stock of the fires in the last 12 hours, informing that a total of 23 fires have been reported, of which 8 remain active.

26 firefighting vehicles, 310 operational forces, 103 Armed Forces personnel, 3 Air Force helicopters and 2 “Air Tractor” aircraft have been engaged in operations to manage the situation.

SITUATION

In Dajt, after the reactivation of the hotbed above the Qafë Molla tunnels, MZSH and ADZM forces are working, supported by 1 AF helicopter.

In Priska e Madhe, work continues with 4 fire trucks and 15 firefighters, while there is no danger to residential areas.

In Drenie, Patos municipality, after the reactivation deep in the forest, the operation continues with municipal firefighting forces, 20 Armed Forces personnel and 2 “Air Tractor” aircraft, significantly reinforcing the intervention from the ground and air.

In Krujë, work continues in two hot spots. In Abaze, the situation is being monitored continuously and there is currently no danger to residential areas. In Krastë–Halil, 2 helicopters were deployed in the early hours of the morning, whose intervention contributed to the normalization of the situation; operational forces continue to work on the ground, while the protection of homes remains a priority.

On the Nëmerçka mountain, in the municipality of Përmet, the operation continues with the forces of the Ministry of Defense, municipal structures and 25 members of the Armed Forces; there is no danger to residential areas.

The hotbed on Mount Dhëmbel also remains active, where the forces of the Përmet MZSH are working.

Another important operation is being concentrated in Gurë-Lura, Dibër municipality, with 25 firefighters, 20 ADZM forces, 35 volunteers and 2 AF helicopters. The forces are being positioned near the homes to guarantee the protection of the community and to be ready for any development of the situation.

Meanwhile, in Vilëz, Kurbin municipality, the outbreak reported during the afternoon has been completely extinguished, confirming the positive progress of interventions on the ground.
