Berisha makes strong accusations against Rama: “He has a black plan for Albania”

Berisha attacks Rama: “He is taking Albania away from EU integration”

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has made strong accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama during a meeting of the Democratic parliamentary group.

Beriha claimed that the Rama government is moving Albania away from the prospect of integration into the European Union, while according to him, it is protecting political interests and persons that he considers linked to corruption.

Referring to tomorrow’s parliamentary session, the democratic leader accused Rama of using his parliamentary majority to advance this goal.

“Rama is disconnecting Albania from the EU integration scenario. He is using the mandates of MPs to protect his interests and to hit Albanians. He has eliminated the rule of law and destroyed justice just to protect himself,” Berisha declared.

Further, the leader of the DP focused on what he described as a “black plan” for Albania.

According to Berisha, the prime minister is leading the country towards a scenario that, according to him, endangers the European integration process.

He places Albania in the framework of a darker scenario, disconnecting it from the EU integration process. After promising a European dream, he now appears as a godfather who a few months ago was talking about the European passport,” Berisha said.

The opposition leader’s statements come in a tense political climate, while the debate between the majority and the opposition continues to be focused on justice, European integration, and recent political developments in the country.
