The director of “Alsat” television, Lirim Hajredini, has been found dead. His body was found with injuries near a building on “Krste Misirkov” Boulevard in Skopje. Authorities have launched investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
SKOPJE – A serious incident has shocked the media world in North Macedonia. Lirim Hajredini, 38, the director of Alsat television, was found dead in Skopje.
According to the announcement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia, at around 09:25 on August 13, 2026, an injured person was reported to the Skopje Police Station near a building on “Krste Misirkov” Boulevard.
Officers from the Bit Pazar Police Station arrived at the scene and determined that the person was LH, 38, from Skopje. The emergency medical technician pronounced him dead.
Authorities say Hajredini died as a result of his injuries, while the exact circumstances of the incident remain to be determined.
The body has been sent for the relevant forensic procedures, while investigations are expected to shed light on the manner and causes of the incident. At this stage, there is no official conclusion on the circumstances of death.
Hajredini’s loss has caused shock among his colleagues and associates, with whom he had worked for more than 16 years at Alsat television. As of the time of reporting, the television had not made an official reaction to the event.
Hajredini had extensive experience in the media sector, where he was engaged in management, marketing, business strategy and television production. In addition to his professional activity in the media, he had also worked as a translator of professional literature.
Investigations continue to fully elucidate the circumstances of this serious incident.
“Today (13.08.2026), at around 09:25, it was reported at the Skopje Police Station that a person with injuries was found in front of a building on the “Krste Misirkov” Boulevard in Skopje. Police officers from the Bit Pazar Police Station arrived at the scene and determined that the person was LH (38) from Skopje. The person died as a result of the injuries he sustained, while the death was confirmed by the Emergency Medical Service doctor,” the Macedonian Ministry of Interior announced today.
