The protest outside his office has entered its 82nd day, but for the first time Rama clearly stated that he will not resign, which according to him would be the easiest path.
Rama said that he has a contract with the people who gave him 83 mandates 1 year ago, with the goal of taking the country to the EU. According to him, the protest is being sponsored by many factors, supported by digital greed as he called it, to gain clicks. Rama also gave a message to those who waver in front of New Albania, whom he ironically asked to send him a written draft.
“I have had many messages, I don’t know for what reason, how, from where, to whom, I may have even left the impression that it occurred to me that I should resign,” Rama said.
Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke to all those who had left unanswered until today, in front of his own people, from the meeting of the socialist group and the government cabinet.
“A government never gives up the wheel to noise. A leadership group does not give in to noise and the more noise increases, the more a leadership group strengthens its identity, uniting everyone in the name of the destination. We are not here to win the number of clicks of the day, but to get Albania into the EU,” Rama said.
