An unusual case recently occurred at the Emergency Room of the University Trauma Hospital in Tirana, where a pregnant woman presented herself for medical assistance, as this was the closest hospital facility.
The Ministry of Health reports that the medical staff of the University Trauma Hospital reacted immediately, coordinating the situation with the “Koço Gliozheni” Maternity team. The Trauma doctors provided the woman with the necessary care and managed the situation until the arrival of the specialized maternity team.
Thanks to timely intervention, cooperation between medical teams, and inter-institutional coordination, mother and baby are in good health.
The Ministry of Health emphasizes that the priority of health structures remains the safety and health of patients, through timely interventions and in accordance with medical protocols.
