Journalist Poli Hoxha has analyzed recent developments regarding SPAK’s investigations into senior officials, focusing particularly on the file of former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku and the possible implication of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Invited to News24, Hoxha emphasized that the initial accusation of inequality in tenders was just the tip of the iceberg to dismantle the entire “spider web.”
According to him, in addition to the additional charges for street gambling, SPAK has expanded the investigation to include corruption, money laundering and criminal organization. The journalist said that if all the charges brought by the special prosecutors are collected, Balluk’s sentence could be up to 36 years in prison.
Further, Poli Hoxha discovered that the file contains a large number of international letter orders to track financial movements and the transfer of stolen money to properties and bank accounts abroad.
He underlined that the lines of many investigations naturally lead to Prime Minister Edi Rama, whose name, according to him, appears in many documents. Hoxha stated that the time has come for Rama to be officially summoned to SPAK to provide explanations, despite the resistance and political efforts to hinder and block justice procedures.
