“From England to Tirana”/ Protest against the government in London, Albanians of the diaspora leave in a convoy for the September 12 rally

The Albanian community in the United Kingdom held a protest yesterday against Edi Rama’s government, denouncing rampant corruption, state capture, and policies that have forced young people to leave the country.

With slogans against the executive and calls for the dismantling of the corrupt system, Albanians in the diaspora made it clear that their voices would be heard directly on the streets of the capital.

Protesters announced the departure of a large convoy of vehicles from England to Albania, with the aim of landing in Tirana to join the massive protest on September 12. This car march that will cross Europe is seen as a strong message that the diaspora is willing to sacrifice to oppose the current government.
