The Kosovo Police spokesperson for the Prizren region, Shaqir Bytyqi, told Gazeta Express that two cases that are suspected to be suicides have occurred in Kosovo today.
The first case occurred at around 3:40 PM in Prizren, where a woman around 54 years old was found dead in her apartment.
“The first case was reported at around 15:40, when information was received that a person was found dead in her apartment on “Turgut Özal” Street in Prizren. The police patrol immediately went to the scene, where the Emergency team determined the victim’s death. According to initial information, the victim is a female, around 54 years old. Based on the circumstances identified at the scene, it is suspected that the victim committed suicide,” he said.
Meanwhile, the second case occurred in Restelica, Dragash/Dragaš, where a person around 68 years old was found dead.
“The second case was reported at around 17:50, when a police officer received information that a person was found without signs of life in a forest area in the village of Restelicë, Dragash municipality. The police patrol and the Emergency team went to the scene, where the victim was found dead. According to initial information, the victim is a male, around 68 years old. Based on the first circumstances identified at the scene, it is suspected that the victim committed suicide,” said Bytiql.
The competent prosecutor has been notified of both cases and investigative actions have begun.

By order of the prosecutor, the bodies have been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine (IML) for autopsy.
