The list of reimbursed medicines has been updated and, after receiving approval from the Council of Ministers, has just entered into force and has begun to be implemented in all pharmacies and hospitals in the country. In addition to existing medicines, this year’s new list of reimbursed medicines has been enriched with 55 new commercial alternative medicines.
There are 35 new alternative drugs that have been added to the open pharmaceutical network. And likewise, 20 types of new commercial alternative drugs have been added to hospital pharmacies across the country, with which patients admitted to hospitals will be treated. Sources from the Ministry of Health say that there are 27 new drugs, active principles, which have not previously been on the Albanian pharmaceutical market.
The new list includes a total of 35 drugs (active principles), 27 new and 8 existing. The new drugs that have been added for patients belong to the most frequent pathologies and have a great impact on the health of citizens. An important place in the list of reimbursed drugs is occupied by drugs for the treatment of oncological and cardiac diseases, where a good part belongs to innovative drugs that are also found in the pharmaceutical market of other European Union countries.
