Dramatic events today in Bulqiza where a young man, 40 years old, has disappeared and suspicions are that he was struck by chromium while working in the mine.
The incident occurred today at around 1:00 PM, in a place called Tërnova e Madhe, Bulqizë municipality. Citizen Ilir Kolaveri, 40 years old, resident of Burrel, with the position of miner/brigadier in a private entity, is suspected of having fallen into a furnace during the work process.
The foreman has fallen into a vertical gallery that opens from the bottom up to connect two different levels of the mine.
It is initially suspected that the 40-year-old was covered in chrome material.
Search and rescue services and Police services are at the scene and are continuing their work to locate and extract him.
The investigation team is working to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
