The State Police has canceled the competition for the appointment of directors of the institution’s three main departments.
The decision was made public through an announcement dated July 28, 2026.
According to the Police, the cancellation comes after changes to Law No. 82/2024 “On the State Police” and within the framework of the restructuring of the institution.
This is about the competition procedure announced on July 2, 2026 for the positions of directors of the Criminal Police Department, the Border and Migration Department, and the Department of International Relations.
The announcement states that the changes to the law bring about the reorganization of the structure of the State Police.
For this reason, the competition has been suspended to guarantee a fair, transparent process with equal opportunities for all candidates.
The police explain that the procedure will remain canceled until the legal changes are fully implemented.
This means that the competition is expected to reopen once the restructuring of the institution is complete. This decision comes just a few weeks after the call for applications was opened.
