French media has published a ranking of intelligence agencies in Europe, where the United Kingdom’s MI6 is ranked first with 251 points.
According to the ranking made by “L’Express”, the second place is occupied by the DGSE of France with 169 points, while the third is the AIVD of the Netherlands with 97 points. In fourth position are the Ukrainian services SBU and HUR together with 77 points, while the BND of Germany holds the fifth place with 62 points.
The top ten also includes Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Poland and Denmark.
According to the published explanation, the ranking was compiled by a jury of 60 international intelligence professionals. Each of them voted for five foreign intelligence services based on their experience, allocating from five points for first place to one point for fifth place. The main evaluation criteria were efficiency and reliability.
Ten other countries included in this list after the top ten are Romania, Spain, Finland, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Portugal, Austria and Latvia.
