Behgjet Pacolli has announced his withdrawal from the Vlora Airport project, following clashes with the 2A Group company.
Through a public reaction, Pacolli stated that the airport was built exclusively with his own financial resources, emphasizing that the investment and guarantees committed amount to over 310 million euros.
He announced that the MABCO company alone has provided over 35 million euros through guarantees for the contractor Valon Ademi.
In his reaction, Pacolli stated that he does not want to confront the state, adding that the way in which state power is being used is, according to him, “illegal and unacceptable for a country that claims to be a state of law”.
“The airport — let them take it! I do not want to fight the state. The state has its own power and can use it as it wants”, he wrote, adding that time will tell what has really happened in this process.
