In a marathon interview for the “Kojshia Show” show, former Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel Dritan Demiraj, has made an in-depth analysis of the political situation in Albania, revealing details of what is expected to happen in the coming weeks.
Speaking from the United States, he emphasized that American institutions are under strict surveillance and ready to intervene or support with information at any moment.
Ultimatum on July 2: Repeating the history of the ’90s
Demiraj revealed that, according to information from the protest leadership with whom he maintains constant contact, July 2 has been marked as the day of the “last ultimatum.”
This date carries a strong symbolism, being seen as a repetition of July 2, 1990, when Albanians lined up against the dictatorship.
According to him, this day is expected to mark the beginning of a new method of protest that will escalate, as a reaction to what he calls the “stubbornness of dictators” who refuse to step down after having stolen and destroyed the nation.
The Collapse of “Maskirovska”: Lies about Iran and Trump Former
Minister Accuses Prime Minister Rama of Using Russian-Style Disinformation Strategy (Maskirovka) to Harm the Protest
He strongly rejected accusations that the protests are being financed by Iran, Greece or Serbia, calling these lies to slow down the popular reaction.
For Dritan Goxhaj: Demiraj defended the former KLA fighter, saying that using his name as “Iran’s man” is a hoax that backfires on the government.
On President Trump: He explained that the Albanians’ connection to America is an “unchallenged” state alliance and is not based on Rama’s personal or business connections. He called the government’s narrative that the protests are “against American investment” a 24-hour deceptive propaganda.
Sazan and the Israeli Scenario
Regarding Trump’s son-in-law’s project in Sazan, Demiraj stated that Rama lied by presenting the island as private, in order to use the President’s family members as “rescue comrades” in the face of pressure from international law enforcement agencies.
Regarding rumors about Rama’s possible political asylum in Israel, the colonel stated that this remains a personal decision of the prime minister, but emphasized the unwavering friendship of the Albanian people with the Israeli people.
Tourism and Integration: Who is really hindering Albania?
Demiraj rejected claims that the protests are harming tourism, pointing out that European tourists often join the protesters
According to him, tourism was destroyed when Rama introduced the fadromas on the coast and in Theth
On EU integration, he was blunt: “The only obstacle is the departure of Edi Rama”
Albania does not meet the conditions due to corruption, crime control over governance and drug money laundering through the status of “strategic investors”
Message to the Police and the Way Out
As a former minister, Demiraj called on the police forces not to serve the “Renaissance sect” and to sever ties with organized crime.
The only solution, according to him, remains:
The resignation of the Prime Minister.
Creation of a one-year technical government
Free and fair elections to return the will of the citizens
“This is a final moment to give the final blow and consign to the dustbin of history all those who destroyed one of the oldest countries in Europe,” concluded Demiraj.
